Hi, I’m Hannah! I’m in my second year of the Bcom program here at UVIC in hopes to one day pursue marketing. Since joining the business program I’ve known from the get go that marketing is what I want to specialize in. I love to digitally promote and create content/ products.  

Born and raised I grew up on Vancouver island – Nanaimo BC. Living on the Island has immersed me into so many outdoor cultures at a young age and because of that I’m now pursuing some of my favorite hobbies. Surfing is my true passion. I have been surfing my entire life, my Grandpa was a surf competitor as well as founder of Jordan River Surf Club so surfing has been in my family since a young age. As a kid I loved water, and still do! I was either swimming in some body of water or learning how to surf with my dad on the weekends.

Though surfing is truly my pride and joy I also love skiing in the winter seasons as-well as hiking throughout the year. One day I hope to spend a season in the French Alps working at a ski resort, or even just having a nice vacation there. Recently hiking has been one of my biggest outlets, being able to plug in some good tunes and submit a mountain is probably one of the greatest feelings ever.

Over the last couple years I recently found a love for photography. I love to take pictures of nature, the ocean, portraits and animals. I also love to take surf photography. Recently this last September I shot for an all American Surf brand – Catch surf at a triathlon event hosted in Victoria.

Im looking forward to meeting everyone, and can’t wait to see what this semester brings!
